I recently purchased a Desert Eagle .50 AE handgun. I love the gun, its great fun and very exciting with only one drawback, the price of ammunition. It seems that the most least expensive way of shooting my Desert Eagle is to reload the excess shell casings. I have been researching online and watching numerous videos on the techniques of reloading, and also on the various brands of Reloading Presses. So I just wanted to know, what is the best Reloading Press brand for a Desert Eagle .50 caliber handgun? So far I limited it down to Lee, and Hornady. Links are encouraged as well

RCBS Lee Dillon Hornady… all have a fan base… all will reload empties if you have the supplies and correct die sets.
I like the RCBS stuff… look at Midway.com.. they usually stock a kit with most of the stuff you need to start… and the phone reps seem to know a little bit about the products.

Any single stage or progressive press will reload the .50AE. My preference is RCBS or Redding over Lee or Hornady.

Kyle, I do reloading for my 50 AE, and yes it is fun to shoot. I went to RCBS and got a set of dies and use them in the standard rock chucker. I tried to use them in the dillon progressive press I have and found that I had to reset it several times for excessive case diameter. With the Rock ckucker I can feel the cases and know if I need to add more lube or put the extension arm in. The only issue I have is when loading near or at the maximum loads I tend to have the cases expand in diameter. So far extracting them hasn’t been an issue but I cut back to the mid range loads and don’t have any problems now.
Just make sure to lube the cases well and to make sure to check your taper when you seat the bullets. Hope this helps, good luck and good shooting.
