I have an old Browning Automatic-5 20 gauge shotgun, when I shoot it, the fired rounds do not eject. The gun appears to be in perfect condition.

has it been cleaned, are u using the correct bullets, is there something jambed in it.
Julia
clean it really good. make sure theres nothing stuck in the chamber (i.e. little rock, broken piece, etc.) make sure your using the right sized shells (either 2 3/4″, 3″, or 3 1/2″; it should tell you on the barrel of the gun)

Your gun is Jamming It could be your mechanism that ejects the shell is frozen. If dirt gets in this it can freeze the action and cause it to jam. take your gunapart carefully and clean every peice then put it back to gether.
Beth
clean it and check to see if your rings are in the right place

give it a good cleaning, especially in the gas piston area and other parts associated with cycling. use a good oil like Remoil, CLP or Triflow. stay away from WD-40. also, try a higher dram shell. those cheap promo loads don’t have alot of powder, and they burn dirty.

I’m gonna go with paul what rounds are you using cheap rounds have a low dram basically they don’t have enough kick to push the action back and cycle it especially in the old A-5
